 Burkina Faso: Some soldiers have been arrested

The legal authorities in Burkina Faso have said that they have arrested three soldiers who tried to plot against the country's military government.

The three soldiers are accused of undermining the national security by a military judge. The soldiers, all of whom have accepted the charges, said that they tried to overthrow the government of the current military government led by Captain Traore. They were expelled from the military since 2015. In December last year, some soldiers and civilians under the leadership of Lieutenant-Colonel Emmanuel Zoungrana wanted to stage a coup, but they did not succeed and now they are imprisoned in prison.
